Skillshare 1-on-1 Sessions Spring 2024 Challenge

Looking for a little bit of extra motivation and encouragement to host 1-on-1 Sessions? We’ve got you covered with the Skillshare 1-on-1 Sessions Spring 2024 Challenge (the “Challenge”), running from 12:01am ET on May 28, 2024, to 11:59pm ET on June 25, 2024 (the “Challenge Period”). We’re also offering free three-month memberships for every teacher who participates.

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this Challenge. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. By participating in the Challenge, you acknowledge that you satisfy all eligibility requirements, and that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules, the Skillshare Terms of Service, and the decisions of Skillshare, Inc.

How to Enter

Here’s how to participate in the Challenge:

  • You must meet the following eligibility requirements:
    • You must be 18 years or older (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
    • You must have a Skillshare teaching account and meet the eligibility criteria as listed here.
    • You must not reside in Italy. Users residing in Italy are not eligible to participate in this Challenge because of local country restrictions.
    • Any 1-on-1 Session you offer must comply with our 1-on-1 Session Guidelines.
  • You must opt in by filling out this interest form, which requires you to commit to having at least one active 1-on-1 offering on your Skillshare profile by the end of the Challenge Period.
  • You must create a Superpeer account, if you haven’t done so already.
  • You must subscribe to the Skillshare Spring 1-on-1 Challenge on Superpeer and participate by replying to at least one of the discussions that take place.
  • By participating in at least one Skillshare Spring 1-on-1 Challenge discussion and having a 1-on-1 Session offering published by the end of the Challenge Period, you will automatically receive a free 3-month Skillshare membership.
  • Additionally, if you reply to a discussion on the Skillshare Spring 1-on-1 Challenge, you will be eligible to receive one (1) of eight (8) $100 USD prizes. Two (2) such prizes will be awarded each week of the Challenge. Prizes will be awarded based on the quality and helpfulness of your reply (a participant may not win more than a single $100 prize during the Challenge), which will be assessed based on the following factors:
    • Which reply best provides demystifying advice or tools that can be applied right away;
    • Which reply is most relevant to the teacher community as a whole; and
    • Which reply most contributes new or innovative information.
  • Winners for a given week of the Challenge will be announced on the Tuesday of the week that follows. However, all prizes will be awarded at the end of the Challenge and will be subject to your complete participation in the Challenge by having a 1-on-1 Session offering published. If you do not have a 1-on-1 Session offering published by the end of the Challenge Period, you will not receive any prize.  Prizes will be added as a bonus to the teacher payment paid out on or around July 16, 2024. Memberships will be awarded on or around July 16, 2024.

Additional Information

Each winner may be required to submit an Affidavit of Eligibility within 5 days of being informed of winning or will be deemed ineligible. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or if the selected winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or they are not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. No substitutions are permitted except if prize is unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not redeemable for cash and non-assignable and non-transferable except to a surviving spouse.

Winner is responsible for all federal, state, local sales, and income taxes. Any other incidental expenses on prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown, and likeness for online posting and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Limit: one entry and one prize per participant. Cash value of the prize cannot be redeemed. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Challenge entry period.

The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or incomplete entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Challenge. By participating in the Challenge, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Challenge. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Challenge. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules and cancel the Challenge if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus, bot, or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Challenge), and to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal.
