October 2020: Introducing New Team Administration Tools

We are excited to launch a series of new tools for Team Admins, designed to help you better manage user access on your Skillshare for Teams account.

Launching on October 6th, 2020, these tools will be available for Team Administrators to use via their Team Administration page:

  • Invite Users with CSV
  • Resend Pending Invitations
  • Remove Users with CSV
  • Contact Support

Invite Users with a CSV file: Mass invite your users seamlessly 

 

Simplify the team invitation process by mass inviting users to your Team account. Prior to using this tool, you will need to have a .csv file prepared with a list of unique email addresses for your team members - no first or last names required, only email addresses. Be sure to check for duplicates! You'll find a .csv template to use as a reference at the bottom of this article. 

 

Once your .csv file is prepared, select the Invite Users with CSV option after clicking the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Team Administration page.

You’ll then be prompted to select and upload your .csv file. Once uploaded, a confirmation message will appear. Click “Invite Users” to continue.

Once you invite your new users, an update message will appear.

Then, once the invitation process is complete, you’ll receive an email confirming that your new users have been invited! If any error(s) occurred, the email will outline the error(s) in more detail. Be sure to refresh your Team Administration page once you receive the confirmation email.

Remember, you can continue to add individual users to your team by entering their email address into an open invitation field and selecting “Send Invitations”.

Resend Pending Invitations: Nudge users who haven't accepted their invite

 

Take advantage of our the Resend Pending Invitations tool to mass resend invites to team members who have not yet accepted their invitation to join your account. Using this tool will help ensure maximum Team adoption and engagement!

Simply navigate to the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Team Administration page and select “Resend Pending Invites”.

Depending on the size of your team, this may take a few minutes.

Refresh your Team Administration page, later on, to confirm that your pending invitations have been resent! The invited date will have changed to reflect the date you took this action. 

 

If you only want to resend an invite to a single member of your team or a select group of individuals, locate the team member(s) on your Team Administration page and click the three (3) dots next to their name/email. Then, select the “Resend Invitation” option and they will receive a fresh invite in their inbox!

Remove Users with CSV: Mass remove multiple users from your account at once


When large changes to your Team roster need to occur, take advantage of the Remove Users with CSV tool to mass remove multiple team members from your account at once. Prior to using this tool, you will need to have a .csv file prepared with a list of unique email addresses of the team members you’d like to remove - no first or last names required, only email addresses. Be sure to check for duplicates! You'll find a .csv template to use as a reference at the bottom of this article. 

 

Once your .csv file is prepared, select the Remove Users with CSV option from the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Team Administration page.

You’ll then be prompted to select and upload your .csv file. Once uploaded, a confirmation message will appear. Click “Remove Users” to continue.

Remember, you can continue to remove individual users easily by locating the user on your Team Administration page, selecting the three (3) dots next to their name, and clicking “Remove User”.
