This summer, it’s all about building on what you’ve started. Introducing the Link & Launch Summer 2025 Publishing Challenge, running from June 30 to August 24, 2025. In this round, we’re inviting Rising Teachers to publish a new class — and not just any new class, but one that meaningfully links to a class you’ve already created on Skillshare.
Here’s How it Works:
All teachers who publish a new class during the challenge will automatically qualify to win one of 16 $400 class prizes, distributed in two prize drops: July 28 and August 25. The top 8 classes in each round that best meet our Class Quality Guidelines and the connection criteria below will be awarded a prize. Short classes (under 15 minutes) are eligible!
To qualify, your new class must be clearly connected to one of your existing classes and you must publish at least one general announcement to your followers that introduces the new class in the context of the older class.
In addition, you can also:
-
Mention or link to the related class in your intro or outro videos of the new class
- Include a reference to the related class in the description for your new class
Think of it as a way to guide your students through a learning journey — and give new life to your back catalog. Throughout the challenge, we’ll highlight real examples of how teachers are creating these class connections to inspire your own approach — we’re excited to see how teachers experiment with this!
And as always, everyone who publishes at least one qualifying class will receive a free year of Skillshare membership, just for participating. Limit one membership per teacher; awarded at the end of the challenge.

The $400 Class Prize winners will be determined solely based on the quality of the entry submitted and the skill shown by the teacher. All entries will be assessed by the Skillshare Curation team, and then separately by at least two Skillshare staff members. The entries that best adhere to Skillshare’s Class Quality Guidelines and include a clear connection to a previously published class, such as through a verbal mention in the video, a link in the class description, or a published announcement to followers. The entries that best meet both the quality and connection criteria will be selected as winners.
The $400 Class Prize winners will be determined and informed via email and Slack.
Each winner may be required to submit an Affidavit of Eligibility within 5 days of being informed of winning or will be deemed ineligible. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or if the selected winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. No substitutions are permitted except if prize is unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not redeemable for cash and non-assignable and non-transferable except to a surviving spouse.
Winner is responsible for all federal, state, local sales, and income taxes. Any other incidental expenses on prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown, and likeness for online posting and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Limit: one $400 Class Prize and one free 1-year membership per teacher. Cash value of the prize cannot be redeemed. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest entry period.
