How Do I Redeem the Buy One Get One Free Offer (“BOGO Offer”)?

In order to redeem the BOGO Offer, you must purchase a Skillshare annual membership for yourself directly from our website using a valid payment method and entering a valid coupon code. Your Skillshare annual membership will be active and available once your purchase is complete. 

Within 48 hours of purchasing your membership, you will receive an e-mail from us containing a unique promo code to give to the recipient you choose. 

This code is good for one free Skillshare annual membership. Note, the gift will automatically expire if not redeemed within 90 days from receiving your promo code. 

By accepting the BOGO Offer, you agree to our Terms of Service and that your information will be processed according to our Privacy Policy

 

Am I or my gift recipient eligible to participate in the BOGO Offer?

To be eligible for the BOGO Offer, you must:

  • Not currently have, or previously had, an active Skillshare membership (monthly or annual);
  • Provide Skillshare with a valid and current payment method; and
  • Sign up through Skillshare’s website directly and not through a third party and enter a valid coupon code. 

Your gift recipient will be eligible to redeem the free annual membership if they do not currently have an active Skillshare membership (monthly or annual). 

 

What happens after the first year of membership? Can I cancel my membership? 

The annual membership is an auto-renewing annual subscription. Unless you cancel before the end of your current term, your payment method will automatically be charged every year at the rate stated at the time of purchase (plus applicable taxes).  As always, you can cancel renewal of your membership at any time by reaching out to our Support team. Please note however that we are unable to refund any part of the subscription or provide a coupon or credit against the cancellation.

If you cancel your subscription in the middle of your subscription, your cancellation will be effective at the end of the billing period. After you cancel, you will have access to all of Skillshare's content until your paid period ends.

Free gift recipients’ subscription will automatically end twelve (12) months from redemption. To continue their subscription they must enter a valid payment method at the time of renewal to continue. If they do not enter a valid payment method, their subscription will be terminated at the expiration of their subscription term.

If I purchase an annual membership through the iOS or Google Play Store, am I eligible for this promotion? 

No, the BOGO Offer is only available for purchase made directly through our website

 

Can I give the free membership to an iOS or Android user?

Your free membership recipient must sign up on our website via the redemption link we email them. Once your gift recipient signs up, they can then use our mobile app (iOS or Android) to access classes.

 

How will my gift recipient redeem the free membership?

Within 48 hours of purchasing your membership, you will receive an e-mail from us containing a gift message and unique promo code to share with the recipient you choose. The e-mail will also contain a link for your gift recipient to claim their membership. You will also be able to print this e-mail to share with the gift recipient you choose. Please note that the unique promo code in your email expires after 90 days. 

Once your recipient redeems their membership gift, they will have one year of access from the date they redeemed it. 

By claiming their membership, your gift recipient will agree to our Terms of Service and that their information will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.

 

Can I give my gift at a later time if I don’t know who I want to give a free membership to, or need to get their contact information?

Yes! The promo code in your email will be valid for redemption for up to 90 days. If you misplace the email or if your gift recipient has trouble accessing the code at a later date, please contact our Support team. 

Please note, the annual membership you purchase for yourself will begin immediately once you complete and purchase your order. 

 

What if I have sent my gift, but it has not been redeemed? 

You can resend your gift to anyone who is eligible to participate in the BOGO Offer as long as your gift has not already been redeemed and is within 90 days of purchasing this promotion. 

 

I recently purchased a Skillshare membership. How do I take advantage of this new offer?

We’re excited that you’ve begun your unique creative journey and hope you are enjoying your membership.  Unfortunately, this offer is only available for new members who do not have a currently active Skillshare annual membership nor have had a membership in the past. 

 

Does my gift recipient need to provide credit card information?

No, your gift recipient will not be prompted to provide any credit card information. 

Your gift recipient's subscription will automatically end twelve (12) months from redemption. To continue their subscription they must enter a valid payment method at the time of renewal to continue. If they do not enter a valid payment method, their subscription will be terminated at the expiration of their subscription term.

 

Why is the BOGO Offer not valid in my country?

We comply with local laws and regulations and have different promotional offers across various jurisdictions. Therefore, at this time, we are not able to offer the buy one get one free promotion in all jurisdictions.
