As of May 2023, Skillshare requires all new, first-time teachers to apply and be approved by our team in order to publish their first class on our platform. Once you’ve been approved and you’ve published your first class to the platform, you are officially a part of Skillshare’s teacher community. You won’t need to apply again to continue teaching more classes.
Please note the following exceptions:
- If you previously taught class(es) on Skillshare but did not have any active published classes on the platform as of May 1, 2023 (because either you requested to have your classes removed or Skillshare removed them for policy reasons), you will need to apply in order to launch your next class and continue teaching.
- If as of May 1, 2023, you have not yet taught your first class but have started a class draft through skillshare.com/teach, you do not need to apply in order to publish your first class and continue teaching. Head to your Teaching page to access your class drafts.
- If as of May 1, 2023, you have not yet taught your first class but have applied and been approved for Skillshare’s new teacher programs anytime after October 31, 2022, you do not need to apply in order to publish your first class and continue teaching.
