Posting your project work is a great way to interact with your teacher and fellow students! These steps walk you through how to post a project from a desktop computer or mobile web browser.
Publish a New Project
- Navigate to your class and click on Projects & Resources.
- Click Submit Project.
-
(Optional) Add a cover image that represents your project.
- Ideal size: 690 x 388 pixels
- Maximum file size: 8 MB
- Add a project name and project description for your project, then include any related content such as images, video links (YouTube, Vimeo, or other streaming links), or an external link.
- Inline images should be 1000 x 690 pixels and no larger than 2 MB.
- (Optional) To make your project private (i.e., not visible in the class’s project gallery), uncheck "Share your work with creatives like you."
- Once your project is ready, scroll to the top of the page and click Publish.
- Or click Save Draft if you're not ready to share it yet.
Important:
Projects saved as drafts do not qualify for a
class certificate.
To receive a certificate, make sure your project is published — either
publicly or privately. Refer to the chart below for guidance.
| Project Status | Visible to Public? | Eligible for Certificate? |
| Saved as Draft | ❌ No | ❌ No |
| Published Privately | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Published Publicly | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Update an Existing Published or Drafted Project
You can update an existing project anytime after you've published or saved it as a draft:
- Navigate to your project from the bottom of your profile page.
- Select Edit Project.
- Update your project as needed.
- Click Publish to save your changes.
Publish a Project Using the Skillshare App
At this time, you are not able to upload and publish class projects directly from the app. iOS app users can access the Projects & Resources tab on the class; clicking Submit Project will redirect you to the mobile version of the website. Follow the instructions above for publishing your project.
