We are excited to share that Skillshare is acquiring Superpeer’s creator tools and technology to integrate into our existing tools for teachers.
Superpeer is a platform that enables creators to engage with, build, and monetize their communities through 1-on-1s, digital products and more! This means even more ways for creators like you to grow your businesses and to spend time doing what you love — creating and teaching – while giving our students new ways to learn and grow.
Why we’re doing this
This acquisition supports our mission to build the world’s most valuable creative learning community, and accelerates our strategy to diversify our business to meet the growing needs of creative professionals.
It also comes in response to growing demand: our best-selling Live Sessions have attracted thousands of attendees and we’ve seen increasing demand for teacher-led 1-on-1 Sessions. We know that, as creators, your time is more stretched than ever and we want to help you to consolidate and simplify, allowing you to diversify your business on one platform.
What you can expect in the coming months
Since we’ve already begun beta-testing 1-on-1s and Live Sessions, those will be some of the first features integrated. Over the coming months, we expect to begin integrating new tools and features, like the ability to sell digital products, so you have an all-in-one solution to help grow your business.
As the integration takes shape, we’ll remain transparent on what’s changing and how you stand to benefit from those changes as our valued teachers. Stay tuned for updates in our Teacher Newsletter and here in the Teacher Help Center.
In the meantime, we encourage all Skillshare teachers to create a host account on Superpeer to start checking out the features. While the platforms are not fully integrated today, we encourage you to start exploring and please send us any feedback you have.
