How can I sell a digital product on Skillshare?

Eligibility Requirements

To sell a digital product on Skillshare, you need:

  • A teaching account on Skillshare. If you’re not already signed up to teach on Skillshare, head to skillshare.com/teach. Once your application is approved, you'll need to start a class draft — only teachers can connect a Superpeer account to Skillshare. Head to How do I start a new class draft? for instructions.
  • Eligibility to be paid through Superpeer’s payment system, Wise. Check to make sure your bank account is registered in a country Wise supports. Refer to the article What countries does Superpeer support? in the Superpeer Help Center for the full list.
Keep in mind that any product that does not align with Skillshare's content guidelines for digital products is subject to removal.

Selling a digital product on Skillshare is easy!

Step 1: Create a digital product

First, you need to create a digital product to sell on Skillshare! Here are a few articles to help you:

Step 2: Set up a Superpeer account

Digital products are hosted on Superpeer, a platform Skillshare acquired in March 2024 to integrate into our existing tools for teachers. To set up an account:

  1. Go to superpeer.com and click the Sign up button to create a free host account.
  2. Connect your bank account to Superpeer so you can receive payment for digital products.
  3. Update your profile pages on Skillshare and Superpeer. We encourage you to use the same details (bio, photo) across both platforms for consistency, though on Superpeer you can add a video introduction. As an example, see how Top Teacher Fred Trevino has set up his profile across Skillshare and Superpeer.

Step 3: Connect your Superpeer account to Skillshare

You’ll also need to connect your Skillshare account to your Superpeer account under Account Settings > Integrations. If you do not yet have a Skillshare account, you’ll be prompted to sign up to teach. Once we’ve processed your sign up form, and you've created a class draft, you’ll be able to connect your account. You can proceed with the other steps while your form is being reviewed.

Step 4: Add your digital product to your Superpeer account

Once your Superpeer account is set up, you’ll need to add your digital product to it. There are specific requirements and conditions that need to be met to list and sell your digital product on Skillshare, which you’ll validate during setup after the feature launches in August. These instructions are aligned with what will be permitted on Skillshare.

  1. On your Superpeer dashboard, navigate to Digital Products and click Start selling.
  2. Enter a title and description for your product that clearly and accurately describes what your digital product is or is comprised of.
  3. Add a clear, eye-catching image for your product. Images should be at least 1200 x 700px and no larger than 5MB.
  4. Add at least one file to your digital product. Make sure each file is labeled clearly.
  5. Select who can access your digital product; you must select For anyone if you want to list your product on Skillshare.
  6. Give it a price — all digital products on Skillshare must have a listed price (it cannot be free). Review our pricing guidelines in the Help Center.
  7. Scroll down to the Visibility section of your product, and toggle OFF Hide product from your Superpeer profile page.
  8. The next box is where you’ll toggle ON visibility for your digital product on Skillshare. Click it to expand the box and review what additional conditions need to be met in setting up your digital product or your Superpeer settings to make the product visible on Skillshare.
    • Note that you’ll classify your product (add category and subcategory) in this step. To be visible on Skillshare, you must select, at minimum, one category and one subcategory for your digital product. Similar to classes, you can add additional facets to make your digital product more discoverable. Refer to Category, Level, and Language for more details.
  9. If all conditions are met, you’ll be able to toggle ON the service to make it visible on Skillshare.
  10. Click Publish.

Step 5: Grab the Skillshare URL

Your digital product is now live on Skillshare. To view your digital product, click the On Skillshare button from the My Products tab on your Superpeer dashboard; the listed product on Skillshare will open in a new tab in your browser. From here, you can grab the URL to your product and promote it wherever you like.
