How should I handle usage rights or licenses on digital products I offer on Skillshare?

All digital products you offer on Skillshare are sold by default as allowing personal, non-commercial use only. It’s your responsibility to:

  • Add additional terms to your product if you wish to allow for different usage, such as allowing commercial use or making your product available under a Creative Commons license. Allowing different or additional usage is up to you; if you want to do so, you’ll need to communicate the terms of that usage in your digital product’s description so they are visible at point of purchase. Make sure you communicate to users how any digital product they purchase from you can be shared or used.
  • Stay up to date on changes to the law. Laws around how you may license a digital product and how you share the terms of a license may vary from country to country. If you’re adding a limited license to your product, we recommend consulting legal counsel for specific advice.
  • Monitor how users are sharing or using your product. Skillshare does not monitor or control what others do with your content.
If you want to allow different usage options for the same product, you’ll need to make two separate listings.
