Where can I find my referral links?

In this article:

Class and general referral links are unique to you. Further to that, they look a little different than the regular URL for your class. Be sure you’re using the right one when marketing your class so you can earn! Here are two examples:

Class referral link: https://skl.sh/3QJdXQ8

General referral link: https://www.skillshare.com/r/user/teachonskillshare

In terms of earning revenue on your referrals, it doesn’t matter what link you use — the payout is still the same regardless of whether you use a class or your general referral link.

Retrieving a Class Referral Link

As soon as your class is published, there are several different ways you can retrieve your class’s referral link:

Left Toolbar

From the student or public view of your class, click the gear button in the bottom left corner to open up the admin toolbar. The class’s referral link will be listed at the top, under Class Referral Link.

Within the Class Creator Tool

After you’ve published a class, you can go back into the Class Creator tool to edit the content or access specific promotional tools. You’ll find your class’s referral link in the Promote section in the left-hand side menu.

Share Button

From the student or public view of your class, click the Share button under the video lesson queue. Then, click the link button to reveal the class’s referral link.

As a teacher, you can earn referral revenue by sharing other teachers’s classes too! Just click the Share button on their class to retrieve a referral link — that link is unique to you, and you will earn additional revenue if any new members join through it.
Formatting your referral link using a URL shortener tool such as bit.ly is OK — it will still work as a referral link!

Retrieving Class Referral Links for Top Performing Classes

The Teacher Hub now displays your top performing classes (up to 3). These are the classes that have the greatest number of users who signed up for Skillshare via your class referral link and subsequently went on to purchase a membership. Consider promoting these classes more often to showcase your teaching, as potential students may be more likely to sign up.

Retrieving Your General Referral Link

By sharing your general referral link you can direct new students to all of your classes at once. You can retrieve your general referral link from the Teacher Hub:

  1. On a desktop computer, select Teach in the top navigation to open the Teacher Hub.
  2. Your general referral link is posted under Referrals; click Copy to copy the referral link and paste it where you need it.

Alternatively, you can also access your Referral dashboard by clicking on the Referral Stats button on Your Teacher Stats dashboard.
