How do I start and find a class draft?

You can start a class draft from Creator Hub once you’ve been approved to teach on Skillshare. Your draft is saved to your account, so you can return to it from My Classes and continue working when you’re ready.

Start a new class draft

If you’ve never started a class draft or published a class on Skillshare, you’ll need to sign up and be approved to teach before you can create your first draft.

On desktop

  1. Log in to Skillshare with your teaching credentials, and go to Creator Hub.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Create a Class.
  3. Your new class draft will open with the default title My Class. You can start adding your class content right away or come back to your draft later.

Note: If you don’t see Create a Class, make sure you’re signed in to the correct Skillshare account and that you’re currently approved to teach.

For first-time teachers, creating an account and just starting a class draft allows you to:

Find and continue a class draft

You can return to any saved draft from My Classes in Creator Hub. This page also includes your published and closed classes.

On desktop

  1. Log in to Skillshare with your teaching credentials, and go to Creator Hub.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select My Classes.
  3. Find the draft you want to continue working on.
  4. Select Edit to open the draft and pick up where you left off.

Keep a backup of your class videos

Skillshare may not support video files in draft or closed classes that are more than 90 days old. Keep copies of your class video files on your computer or an external drive if you plan to update or publish the class later.

Teaching resources

If you’re starting your first class, you can also explore Skillshare’s teaching resources for help planning, preparing, and publishing your class.
