How can I start teaching on Skillshare?

Anyone can teach a class on Skillshare! There’s no application or approval process, and you don’t need to have teaching experience. Our teachers are creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are great at what they do and passionate about sharing their skills with others. Each has a unique background, perspective and teaching style. As long as you’re 16 years of age or older (according to our Terms of Service) you can learn and teach on our platform.

Keep in mind that you do not need to have a paid membership to teach on Skillshare, but many of our teachers do pay for membership to be a student in our community. To ensure you have access to our teacher training class, Teach on Skillshare: Plan, Publish, and Promote an Engaging Class, starting a class draft will allow you to access it without a membership.
