Anyone can teach a class on Skillshare! There’s no application or approval process, and you don’t need to have teaching experience. Our teachers are creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are great at what they do and passionate about sharing their skills with others. Each has a unique background, perspective and teaching style. As long as you’re 16 years of age or older (according to our Terms of Service) you can learn and teach on our platform.
If you’re new to teaching on Skillshare, we encourage you to check out the following resources to ensure you’re making a high-quality and engaging class that our members will love:
- Our Help Center provides a ton of tips for teachers at any stage of their teaching journey. Get Started with Teaching provides a step-by-step overview of the class creation process with relevant articles linked along the way.
- Teach on Skillshare: Plan, Publish, and Promote an Engaging Class is a standalone Skillshare class that covers the class creation process from start to finish. You do not need a paid membership to take this class as long as you’re logged in to your Skillshare account and you’ve started a new class draft.
- Our Teacher Programs are here to set you up for success on our platform — consider applying to one of our programs for new teachers.
Planning, producing, and promoting a new class can take some time, but we’re here to help make the process as easy as possible! Reach out to us at teach@skillshare.com for help at any time.
