How do I delete my account?

You can delete your Skillshare account by submitting a Privacy Request. Once your request is completed, your account and associated data are permanently removed.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, deleting your account will not end your Skillshare subscription. Please review our guide on cancelling a subscription if you signed up through the Skillshare app.

Before you delete your account

Deleting your account is permanent and can’t be undone. When your account is deleted, the following will be removed:

  • Your profile and account information
  • Comments and discussions
  • Class progress
  • Class videos and descriptions
  • Class reviews 
  • Class projects, notes, and tutorials
  • Playlists

If you think you may want to return later, you can choose to make your profile private instead.

Cancel your subscription first (if needed)

To cancel your subscription on desktop, go here.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, deleting your account won’t cancel your subscription.

Make sure to cancel your subscription through your app store before submitting a deletion request.

Submit a request to delete your account

On desktop

  1. Go to the Privacy Request Center.
  2. Select the option to delete your account.
  3. Submit your request.

On the mobile app (iOS & Android)

  1. Open your browser (not the app).
  2. Go to the Privacy Request Center.
  3. Select the option to delete your account and submit your request.

Download your data before deleting (optional)

If you’d like to keep a copy of your data, request a download before deleting your account.

To download and delete your data, you'll need to submit two separate requests in our Privacy Request Center: 
• One Access Request (to download your data)
• One Deletion Request (to delete your account)

Make your profile private instead

If you’d prefer to stay on Skillshare but limit what others can see, you can make your profile private.

On desktop

  1. Go to Account Settings.
  2. Scroll to the privacy section.
  3. Choose to make your profile private or remove it from search results.

On the mobile app (iOS & Android)

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Update your privacy settings.

When your profile is private, most of your profile information is hidden from others.

Things to know

  • Account deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
  • Subscription cancellation must be completed separately if you subscribed through an app store.
  • It may take some time for search engines to reflect profile removal from search results.
